Lean Philosophy and Agile

"Reducing lean thinking to Kanban, queue management, and other tools is like reducing working democracy to voting. Voting is good, but democracy is far more subtle and difficult - Craig Larman, and Bas Vodde in 'The Lean Primer'

It is easy to identify practices that work best for a given situation and have our methodology optimized to benefit the system, but it is difficult to sustain the change if it's done without understanding the "why" behind the "how". The underlying laws that drive such practices have to be understood.

The Lean house metaphorically summarizes these laws.
